Standard timezone
Last updated: Nov 4, 2026
Fluid Attacks uses Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) as the standard time reference in its infrastructure and platform components. This gives consistency, accuracy, and reliable event correlation. Some date calculations and API fields of the platform use Colombia time (UTC-5). The sections below show these exceptions.
Scope
Fluid Attacks applies UTC in these layers.
Infrastructure
- AWS Time Sync Service synchronizes all the AWS cloud infrastructure to UTC.
- The system clocks of servers, containers, and virtual machines use UTC.
Application
- Platform services generate logs and timestamps in UTC.
- Database records store all time data in UTC format.
- API responses use the canonical
timestamp format.
Some API fields, for example
lastStateDateof a finding, give the date in Colombia time (UTC-5) and not in UTC.
Log management
- The SIEM changes all log timestamps to UTC during ingestion.
- Security event correlation uses UTC for an accurate reconstruction of the timeline.
- Audit logs keep UTC timestamps for compliance and forensic analysis.
User interface
- The Fluid Attacks platform shows timestamps in the local timezone of the user for convenience.
- The Fluid Attacks platform stores all the underlying data in UTC. Some date calculations and some API fields use Colombia time (UTC-5).
Other integrity measures
SLSA compliance
Fluid Attacks meets SLSA Level 2 for supply chain integrity, covering source, build, provenance, and common requirements using GitLab CI/CD and Nix.
Static website
The Fluid Attacks website is static, serving only plain HTML files with no application server, which reduces its attack surface.
