Break the build

Last updated: Oct 21, 2026

Fluid Attacks gives an automated security measure for your CI/CD pipeline. It stops the builds that have vulnerabilities. When the build breaks, your team must fix the code so that the build can pass. To use this feature, install the Fluid Attacks CI Gate. An Internet connection is also necessary.

You can run CI Gate locally and in your CI/CD pipeline.

Follow these steps to run CI Gate locally:

  1. Get the necessary token, as shown in Install CI Gate to break the build.

  2. Pull the Docker image:

    docker pull fluidattacks/forces:latest
  3. Run the container with the command below. <your-token> is the token that you generated in step 1.

docker run --rm -ti fluidattacks/forces:latest forces --strict --breaking 7.0 --token <your-token>

To use CI Gate with Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab, and Jenkins, follow the instructions in Run CI Gate on your CI/CD.

Now you know the basics to secure your software with Fluid Attacks. Next, you can learn more about the platform.
