Rationale
AWS (Amazon Web Services) is the primary IaaS cloud provider of Fluid Attacks. These are the primary reasons why Fluid Attacks selected it and not other alternatives:
- It gives a very granular approach to IaaS. It has more than one hundred independent services, from quantum computing to servers for videogames.
- It has a fully granular pay-as-you-go pricing model. Thus, Fluid Attacks pays only for what it uses.
- It complies with many global top security standards.
- It has a very redundant infrastructure in all the world. Thus, Fluid Attacks trusts its availability and reliability.
- It is a cloud infrastructure leader, according to Gartner.
- It is the oldest cloud provider.
Alternatives
Google Cloud Platform is an alternative that was not available when Fluid Attacks moved to the cloud. Its service catalog is much smaller. Thus, it is less flexible.
Microsoft Azure is one more alternative that was not available when Fluid Attacks moved to the cloud. Its review is pending.
